Emmet the Robot

In 2005, five statues of "Emmet the Robot" constructed of various found objects were commissioned by Emmet County in Northern Lower Michigan, to be used at the county's dropsites to draw attention to new message centers that contain seasonal information about recycling.

In 2004 Bay Shore Resort and Tackle, located in Kipling Michigan, on the Shore of Little Bay de Noc, commissioned a large copper Walleye fro their sign
The Owl

In 2001 Ritch Branstrom helped Gladstone Middle School students construct an owl made from discarded junk that now is displayed in the Middle School entrance to the gymnasium. Funding for the project was provided by the Community Foundation of Delta County.

Dinosaur

In 1995 Ritch Branstrom worked with Marquette Michigan grade schoolers at the Marquette Children's Museum to create this fount object dinosaur with objects they brought from home or gathered from the local landscape.
The Tree of Hope

In 2001, Mary Wright, artist with the Tree of Hope project, holds an owl constructed by Ritch Branstrom from recycled items. Mary Wright traveled to all the counties in Michigan, visiting schools and municipalities using the sculpture as a visual aid in her campaign to orchestrate students and citizens to create the 6,000 ornaments that would adorn the tree in Washington D.C. that was to represent the State of Michigan and stand as a symbol of peace for the people of the United States.
